Decree No. 168/2024/NĐ-CP regulates the penalties for violations concerning the conditions of drivers when participating in traffic. Depending on the specific case, different penalties will apply.
According to the provisions in Articles 13, 14, and 18 of Decree No. 168/2024/NĐ-CP, penalties are imposed for each violation of failing to carry vehicle documents while participating in traffic.
Here is the penalty table for violations related to the conditions of the driver in failing to carry vehicle documents:

Thus, from 2025, participation in traffic without carrying the required vehicle documents will incur fines ranging from 200,000 VND to 20,000,000 VND, depending on the specific violation and the type of vehicle driven.
In addition, violations involving the failure to carry vehicle documents will also result in the deduction of points from the driver’s license, as prescribed by law.
